We’re currently searching for a Head of Content Localization / Content Localization Director / Senior Manager, Localization Strategy for a global marketplace with tens of millions of customers.
The Head of Content Localization / Content Localization Director / Senior Manager, Localization strategy role involves leading the global product localization strategy for both English & non-English speaking territories, across Europe and globally. You’ll work with other global teams across product, brand, and marketing to build and execute a localization strategy across all customer touchpoints, including their UX content (web, mobile) as well as all marketing content.
This is a rare opportunity to localize a high-profile marketplace offering with a proven product market fit and significant funding to continue scaling globally. You’ll be working with a well-established team but will also have the opportunity to build the team even further over time.
This role is based in Berlin, requiring occasional travel to the Head Office in Berlin.
The Head of Content Localization / Content Localization Director / Senior Manager, Localization Strategy will:
* Create and drive the international localization strategy, considering both the short-term and long-term scaling aspects.
* Work with product, marketing, and brand teams to develop a vision of how localization should evolve and further expansion plans.
* Drive innovation, improvements, and scalability in localization workflows.
* Lead optimization of the existing localization processes to meet needs across a wide range of different content types (e.g., product, marketing assets, brand, in-app, web).
* Lead an in-house team of >15 people, as well as translations vendors and third-part agencies.
The Head of Content Localization / Content Localization Director / Senior Manager, Localization Strategy must have:
* Strong consumer content localization leadership experience across English and non-English speaking territories.
* Experience leading large high performing teams (+10 people).
* Experience in a content rich consumer environment, such as Travel, Healthtech, Edtech, eCommerce, Food Delivery, Media, Entertainment, Proptech, etc.
* A strong data focus and comfort generating insight, measuring performance, and solving problems using data.
* First class communication and influencing skills to manage internal and external relationships.
