Working for a small and successful software business, the Content Marketing Manager / B2B Marketing Manager / Marketing Communications Manager involves managing the evolution of two core websites and planning and executing content campaigns to drive brand awareness and support sales processes.
This is marketing hire #1 and is a very hands-on role, where you’ll shape the strategy, write all copy and execute campaigns yourself. It’s a broad role, but will be primarily be focussed on web content and content campaigns.
This is a great opportunity for someone with perhaps 1-3 years B2B marketing experience to take on a role with lots of responsibility and scope to impact the business.
This is a hybrid role with two days per week in their central Bedford offices.
The Content Marketing Manager / B2B Marketing Manager / Marketing Communications Manager will:
- Develop and implement communications strategies to support awareness of the brand across target audiences, who are mostly large enterprises across all industry sectors (eg Tier 1 banks, Government, global retailers, media, manufacturing, etc).
- Own their main websites, reviewing and updating all web content and web experience.
- Develop brand guidelines, ensuring that all content and communications are on-brand and comply with brand guidelines.
- Enhance the SEO performance of the core websites, aiming for incremental SEO gains.
- Develop a content roadmap and release cadence to ensure a steady flow of relevant and engaging content.
- Plan and execute content campaigns that highlight the value of their solutions, services and products to existing and prospect customers.
- Support the sales teams with brochures, collateral, pitch decks and internal & external presentations.
- Research industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and writing copy for all content releases and communications.
Candidates for the Content Marketing Manager / B2B Marketing Manager / Marketing Communications Manager role must have:
- Previous experience in a B2B marketing role with a strong content focus.
- Any experience targeting large enterprises with high value software, , SAAS, B2B technology solutions, voice & data services, etc is an advantage, but is not essential.
- Excellent English literacy and written English to hands-on produce native level web and campaign content, sales collateral, etc.
- Comfort being very hands on and taking ownership of tasks, as the only marketing person in the business.
- Close proximity to central Bedford and ability to hybrid work at their offices.
- Strong communication skills to work with internal stakeholders, sales and technical teams.
