Working for a large global specialist electronics equipment distributor and solutions provider, the Global eCommerce Director / eCommerce Strategy Director / VP Global B2B eCommerce role involves building a new global eCommerce channel for trade customers and B2B end users.
This will involve ownership of the global eCommerce strategy, prioritising a roadmap of deployments across a complex matrix organisation, and optimising in-country/regional eCommerce teams to deliver trading, revenue and customer engagement objectives.
This is a key role that will deliver significant commercial impact, and requires an excellent communicator to delivery change across a broad cross section of stakeholders. As regions go live, you’ll act as a consultant to upskill and optimise regional trading performance.
This is a remote role, with monthly global travel and time each month at their East Midlands head office.
The Global eCommerce Director / eCommerce Strategy Director / VP Global B2B eCommerce will:
- Work with the Group Management team to ensure the e-commerce solution delivers against commercial and operational objectives, providing guidance and insight on where further opportunities may lie.
- Lead the change management of incorporating e-commerce as part of the omni channel strategy.
- Partner with local business leadership teams, to integrate e-commerce into their existing operations and ways of working, with the customer remaining at the centre of our focus.
- Be global lead for co-ordinating functionality improvement requests and sharing best practices across group businesses.
- Increase the awareness and knowledge of related trends and advancement opportunities for the business, operating as the subject matter expert in this field.
- Build and work with regional eCommerce trading teams to ensure they have the right skills, people & processes to meet commercial objectives for the eCommerce channel.
- Promote and maintain a performance culture, developing systems and processes to generate clear business benefits.
Candidates for the Global eCommerce Director / eCommerce Strategy Director / VP Global B2B eCommerce role must have:
- Strong eCommerce leadership experience, in a complex global matrix environment.
- Ideally experience of B2B & omni-channel trading environments.
- Strong knowledge of key e-commerce functionality, ideally Adobe Commerce, MS Dynamics or similar.
- Leadership experience across all areas of eCommerce, including acquisition channels, onsite trading & merchandising, conversion optimisation, customer marketing, fulfilment experience, etc.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to grasp the detail whilst keeping the bigger picture in mind.
- Highly effective communicator and ability to influence across the organisation.
- Collaborative and able to interpret and respond to the varying needs of functions and local businesses as required.
