Contract Senior Product Manager (Catalogue) – 6 month contract – £450-550 per day (Outside IR35) – Hybrid, London
Working for a global retail business, the Contract Product Manager / Interim Product Lead / eCommerce Product Manager role involves building new eCommerce platform/s and functionality across product catalogue, search and listing experience, including SEO considerations.
This is a complex global environment and you’ll work closely with business and technical stakeholders across technology, commercial areas and third parties.
This is a 6 month contract initially (Outside IR35) and is hybrid/London, with 1 day per week in central London offices.
The Contract Product Manager / Interim Product Lead / eCommerce Product Manager will:
- Define and deliver the roadmap for several key value streams in the Catalogue & product listing discovery space, working in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Articulate and document needs and solutions, in partnership with design, engineering, marketing, end users and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all content and journeys are optimised for UX & accessibility, seamlessly across all device types including Native App.
- Document and refine high level requirements.
- Work with UX, Engineering, Data Science and Data Engineering to build and execute the backlog, including creation, validation and estimation of user stories.
- Build positive and productive relationships with multiple internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring you are always delivering value for the business and partners.
- Ensure success measures are defined, trackable, and tracked.
Candidates for the Contract Product Manager / Interim Product Lead / eCommerce Product Manager role must have:
- Strong product management experience in a large scale, ideally global, transactional B2C / consumer environment, such as eCommerce, retail, travel, hospitality, hotels, entertainment, or similar.
- Experience navigating complex global environments, with a range of commercial, technical and third party stakeholders.
- Experience building and optimising consumer facing product experiences, ideally, product search, product listings, product catalogues, product discovery, or similar.
- Very strong communication and influencing skills, to manage relationships and with key knowledge holders across the business and externally.
- Experience across web and native apps.
- A commercial mindset , developing products and features that balance commercial and customer outcomes.
- A ruthless prioritiser, managing product backlog and day-to-day tasks
- Evidence-based in decision-making and communication
- Strong data analysis and interpretation
- Experience working with agile software development processes, taking a ship/learn/iterate approach
