Working for a much-loved D2C subscription and eCommerce specialist pet product brand, the Head of eCommerce / eCommerce Lead / Senior eCommerce Manager role involves leading all online trading activities to drive commercial performance and growth.
The business has a leading market position in their category, and have recently secured significant funding from a large parent investor, to develop & launch new products and drive growth to new customers in the UK and then overseas.
This is a broad trading role across onsite trading, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), promotional campaigns, merchandising, content and SEO. You’ll lead an eCommerce squad to plan and execute initiatives in a super-fast, agile way, with dedicated resources and as part of a larger global organisation. It’s an agile scale-up within a global business.
This is a hybrid/London role with 2 days per month (1 day every 2 weeks) in their London offices, or more if preferred.
The Head of eCommerce / eCommerce Lead / Senior eCommerce Manager will:
– Own the end-to-end e-commerce strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
– Own the trading calendar, to meet the revenue and order targets.
– Develop the trading plan to drive performance in one-time purchases and subscribe and save.
– Lead the E-Commerce Squad. Craft and execute innovative strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and overall revenue growth.
– Work and collaborate with product, tech, design, and customer service.
– Foster a culture of collaboration, ensuring seamless coordination on site updates, product launches, promotions, and other initiatives.
– Oversee product management, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure the development of a product strategy and roadmap that aligns with e-commerce goals.
– Make improvements on customer pain points/improved user experience.
– Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimisation.
– Monitor and report on performance of one-time purchases, subscribe & save and conversion rate & site traffic.
– Provide actionable insights to the leadership team on site performance, customer behaviour, and opportunities for improvement.
– Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing E-Commerce Squad, including a Web Merchandiser and Web Ops Manager.
Candidates for the Head of eCommerce / eCommerce Lead / Senior eCommerce Manager role must have:
* Strong experience in an eCommerce trading role, from any product category, such as clothing, fashion, shoes, homeware, electronics, gifting, pet products, snacks, groceries, cosmetics, personal care, etc.
* Experience in a broad eCommerce trading role, ideally in a scaling or growth environment.
* People management experience, of one plus people / a small team.
* A strong commercial growth and mindset, using data to make informed decisions and guesses.
* Excellent communication skills to work across and influence internal teams and external partners.
* Any experience of Salesforce Commerce Cloud would be an advantage, but is not essential.
