Working for a global hospitality retail business, the Payments Product Manager / Technical Product Manager / Senior Product Manager role involves leading discovery and defining a strategy for consumer payments across web and mobile, in the UK, US and EU. This is a future platform initiative to re-define how payments are taken for products and services, when booking or in-venue.
This is a 6-month contract role and is Outside IR35. The role is hybrid with 2 days per week in their central London offices.
The Payments Product Manager / Technical Product Manager / Senior Product Manager will:
– Define a strategy and a roadmap for payment, with a focus on unlocking future platform capabilities and ensuring a seamless customer purchase experience.
– Focus initially on discovery, collaborate with Engineering teams and stakeholders to explore and document current and future payment opportunities, working through technical and commercial feasibility
– Liaise with stakeholders across all areas of the business and collaborate with third party companies, ensuring that delivery is scoped, tracked and communicated.
– Identify and prioritise highest value user problems and use cases, to unlock maximum business and customer value
– Co-ordinate and collaborate where feature discovery and delivery spans multiple teams
– Document functional and non-functional requirements
– Create, maintain and deliver a prioritised backlog of items to improve customer experience and drive value
– Drive teams and activity towards achievement of specific growth objectives
– Keep all interested parties informed of plans and status across the product development process
– Continuously monitor and analyse results to feed back into product discovery
Candidates for the Payments Product Manager / Technical Product Manager / Senior Product Manager role must have:
– A deep understanding of delivery in the payments space for a global consumer facing retail business (eg retail, travel, media, entertainment, airlines, etc)
– Familiarity with global payments regulations (US, UK, EU), and a curiosity in emerging technologies
– Delivery-focus, with extensive experience in executing a roadmap and delivering measurable business value
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
– Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, quickly able to grasp concepts and untangle complex problems
– Experience working with agile software development processes
– Experience in and comfort with collaborating with related disciplines, such as engineering, design, etc.
